SEVEN SECONDS: KARAOKE NIGHTS

After the ''Killing'', the series of Veena Sud, one of the best shows / read the reviews/ will be expecting the next depressive hit, and yes, its difficult to watch a show filled with depression and darkness, but so addictive and real to the ordinary life. ''Seven seconds'' cant escape from the black and grey world of Veena Sud. In ''the Killing'' we had a rainy wet Seattle, always raining, now in downtown Jersey we have snow. Cold winter nights, filled with black rage and poverty, and a hit and run that will explode the racist behaviors from white cops to black people, making a new punch in the gut new series with a catch that now on Netflix, we can see all episodes at once. A hit and run made by corrupted cops, a case that these two will make it personal until justice serviced.
One of the things that i love to Veena Sud creations, is the remarkable job of the characters. A new duo that we demand a second season with a new case. K.J and ''Fish''. Public defenders with many personal problems to solved, as K.J. has a serious problem with drinking and ''Fish'' gives all his love to his seven dogs after the betrayal of his wife. Remarkable characters, and Clare-Hope Asitey she is just amazing.
Reason enough to watch it, the core characters, from drunk karaoke nights to a grieving mother who wants justice for her son/Regina King just terrific!!
and a racial problem that is so ''trendy'' in those days. A hate crime or just a crooked cop that made a decision to leave the kid in the ditch to die like a roadkill?
Personally, i was disappointed from ''seven seconds.'' Ten episodes follow a slow pace and an ending that leads to nothing. If there is a second season i understand the flat and without solution ending. Dont get me wrong, as i said before, i loved the characters. Everyone, from Jablonski to DiAngelo
to the curse to be fifteen and leave in the world of Veena Sud/3rd season of ''the Killing''
So much sadness and depression, its ok if you expecting to see a cathartic finale, a satisfying ending, a verdict. No, this is not the case, as if all the story is about this bloody ditch and a dysfunctional duo that  ultimately will stay to their world of drinking and fearing to deal the problems. ''Seven seconds'' left me with a bitter taste, even worse than the third season of ''the Killing'', and i am wonder if this is the big hit of Veena Sud/ a world full of shit without escape/ or is just a series to ease and calm the depression that we feel in this strange era that we live. Trailer and i would love to see more of K.J. and ''Fish,'' a good replacement of Linden and Holder of ''the Killing.''
 8/10
