Someone told me why i didn't like ''Luke Cage''/you can check the review on the blog, or why i decided not write anything about ''Iron Fist'' and the most disastrous marvel attempt i have ever see. So, on the other hand, there is a masterpiece ''Jessica Jones'' and two seasons of ''Daredevil'' that i liked very much, despite the long boring talks to fill the hour episode. The union of the four and the idea of a bad-ass Sigourney Weaver as the main villain, it sound so fucking interesting, maybe i raise my hopes up as an authentic fan of comic books, until i see this.!!
How in the hell you will be afraid of a villain that wears the wardrobe of the ''Dynasty''? A tasteless group of five, the Hand, a handful of pitiful characters with only exception Madame Gao? Is this the real menace that bring all together these guys?
Really Marvel??? A woman with a bad taste in clothes and a haircut like an old woman who goes every Tuesday to the neighborhood salon, is the leader of the Hand? And what happens to the creepy undead ninjas of the Daredevil turf? Replaced with a bunch of guys with guns and fists? A total mess with flat characters, ''now we improvise'' kind of thing, with the total annihilation of the comic book characters, replaced by a tv image, forgot all those years that Luke Cage is not only a Harlem vigilante and alter boy but a leader too/ read New Avengers/ or Jessica Jones is not a woman with always bad temper and annoying attitude, but a kick-ass character with guts and skills for something more genious than to punch guys in the nose.
The damage on the Iron-Fist character has all ready done, with the stupid brain dead ''the immortal Iron Fist.'' And then we have Daredevil. Electra. The duo that make me see the boring Defenders and maybe save it from 5 to 6,5.
Without to spoil anything, a stupid ending is the most fitting for ''Defenders'', death that is not actually death, a hole with Luke Cage have hard time to hit villains/ one fist and you are toast, whats the problem here?/ a desperate DD in need for love, and the Hand, stripped away from the mystery and the atmosphere, naked five ordinary people to rule a global fearless organization? Really Marvel? Except some good fight scenes
there are huge butt-holes in the zero script, something that makes me scream of how well built comic characters humiliated from an enterprise who wants only to make money from the fans. The same happens the last years in the comics of Marvel. Reboot. Reboot again. Total anihilation of titles with huge crowds like ''Uncanny X-men'', replaced with tv characters so not confusing for the new readers. A strategy that not only bring poor sales to Marvel but lose and the long lasting fans. Next is Punisher for the tv Marvel.
Why to watch again ''the death'' of a character? Give me a good reason to spent thirteen hours of a ''replica manufactured'' character. Just say no.
