A subversive take on Archie comics with the master of teen series, cw, behind the wheel. Ok, i get it, the ''Vampire diaries'' ending next month, so Riverdale is the new Mystic Falls but without all the bloodbaths and the fangs? I dissapointed with ''Riverdale'' because its the same old shit but with a new faces and this time, faces from a famous comic book. A new teen series with Archie(omg, Luke Perry as the father of Archie or how many years has passing from 90210!)
Betty and Veronica are the most interesting faces in the series and the approach of the weird trio relationship is actually working
but how lame and tucky is the villainous cheerleader Cheryl-check the second episode, Cheryl smiles,dances and do the cheerleader shit but his brother is in the morgue,so wtf?
and where is the comical funny aspect of Jughead? this guy is totally depressing and has no spark of Riverdale except for forgotten emo teens.
Before aired, some critics talked about the new Twin Peaks. Total blasphemy, ''Riverdale'' is more like the first season of ''Vampire Diaries'', the first akwards episodes with the mist and the school parties, all the teen drama but without the effort for 8 seasons. The vampire Diaries find its own rhythm and become a total success. In the case of ''Riverdale'', how much interest for a dead twin, Archie fucks his teacher, and 2 girls which if i have to guess, are ready for a manequin challenge?!Trailer.
