Having
completed all 5 seasons of Homeland -renewed for a sixth- looking back
at the past seasons, I could say that the fifth season is the most
mild. Low key. It does not have the adrenaline of the fourth season aka
Drone Queen and no longer the big affair that excites the bipolar Carrie
to act uncontrollably perplexing the plot of Homeland. No. Homeland
following the current political issues focuses on a calmer Carrie
growing up her daughter -the only reminder that ever existed a Brody in the
series- with her new boyfriend in Germany.
The entire season filmed in
Germany, two years after the end of the fourth season, and Carrie does
not work in the CIA anymore. The improprieties of the past and the
leaking of top secret projects by hackers make Carrie a target with a
death warrant on her head as assassins prepare to take her down.
Homeland continues to be
awesomely up-to-date in real world events. ISIS, Putin, the European
Migrant crisis, the shooting at Charlie Hebdo, and many more references
on current events letting us guess that the script was written one day
before. Stating not filliping, nor targeting. Homeland continues to
present a real world map and Carrie as a neo-prophet fighting against
terrorism. The fifth season focuses particularly on Quinn. The toxic gas
and its consequences. Saul sleeping with his enemy
as his new companion
Allison Carr is the ultimate villain of the fifth season, Miranda Otto,
a riveting character interpretation and perhaps a bitter smile as i can
not hide that Allison would be a necessary addition to the team of
Homeland.
Homeland
slowed the rhythms. Getting its Euro aspect as all the action has moved
in Europe. The sixth season will say goodbye to some of their regulars
-no Spoiler here-and welcome New York as the only way for Carrie is a one-way. One woman
fighting terrorism, imagine what we would accomplish if all of us fought
any kind of terrorism.

Εχοντας ολοκληρωθεί και οι 5 seasons του Homeland-ανανεωθηκε και για
εκτο-κάνοντας μια ανασκόπηση των προηγούμενων κύκλων, θα μπορούσα να πω
ότι ο πέμτος κύκλος είναι και ο πιο ηπιος. Χαμηλών τόνων. Δεν εχει την
αδρεναλίνη του τεταρτου δες και Drone Queen και ούτε πια το μεγαλο
affair που ξεσηκώνει την bipolar Carrie να δρασει ανεξέλεγκτα
περπλέκοντας την πλοκή του Homeland. Οχι. Το Homeland ακολουθώντας τα
τρέχοντα πολιτικά ζητηματα επικεντρώνεται σε μια πια ηρεμη Carrie που
μεγαλώνει τη μοναδική υπενθύμιση ότι υπήρξε ποτέ Brody στη σειρά κόρη,με το νέο της boyfriend στη Γερμανία.
Ολος ο κύκλος γυρισμένος
στη Γερμανία, 2 χρόνια μετά το τέλος του τεταρτου κύκλου και η Carrie
δεν εργάζεται πια στη CIA. Τα ατοπήματα όμως του παρελθόντος καθώς και η
διέρρευση top secret projects απο hackers στοχεύουν την Carrie με death
warrant καθώς assasins αναλαμβάνουν να τη βγάλουν απ'τη μέση.
Το Homeland συνεχιζει να είναι απίθανα επικαιρο στα real events του
κόσμου. Isis, Putin, Eyropean migrant crisis, Shooting Charlie Hebdo,
και πολλές ακόμα αναφορές στα επίκαιρα λες και το σεναριο γραφεται μια
μέρα πριν. Αναφερει δεν θίγει, ουτε στοχοποιεί. Το Ηomeland συνεχίζει να
προβαλλει ενα real world map και η Carrie σαν νεοπροφητης στον αγώνα
εναντίον της τρομοκρατίας. Ο πέμπτος κύκλος επικεντρώνεται ιδιαίτερα
στον Quinn. Toxic gas και οι συνέπειες του. Ο Saul sleeping with his
enemy
καθώς η νέα του σύντροφος είναι και η απόλυτη villain του πεμπτου
κύκλου Allison Carr, Miranda Otto, σε καθηλωτική ερμηνεία και ίσως ένα
bitter smile καθώς δεν κρύβω ότι θα ήταν μια αναγκαία προσθήκη στο team
του Homeland.
Το Homeland εριξε τους ρυθμους. Ευρωπαικό στιγμα καθώς όλη η δραση εχει
μεταφερθεί εδώ. Ο εκτος κύκλος θα φέρει και καποιους απο τους regular
εκτός σειράς!-no spoiler here-καθώς ο δρόμος για την Carrie και τη Νεα Υόρκη πια είναι
μονόδρομος. Οne woman fights terrorism, imagine what we would accomplish
if all of us fight any kind of terrorism.
