VIKINGS #5 : FLOKI GOES TO THE LAND OF THE GODS

After the death of Ragnar at season 4/read the reviews/ a big questionmark appears with a quote ''and now?Whats next?'' but easily answered with the introduction of the adult form of sons of Ragnar. A big applause to the cleverness of the writers not only to keep rising the interest and introduce us to new characters who easily ''replace'' the original cast, but keep the good stories to a higher level without notice the absence of the main protagonist. Is that a genious continuity or what? The update to new kind of wickeness and villainess for Ivar the Boneless and the main interest to the Vikings story,

the introduction for the new addition Jonathan Rhys Meyers as a Saxon priest enslaved to Ivar to fight against Lagertha

it reminds me the first seasons and the iron relationship between Ragnar and Athelstan, a reminder that a big part will be played not only by the new priest, but the son of Athelstan and his part against Vikings. So many things happened as now to the first part of the fifth season. From the rape of king Harald from Lagertha

to the travels of Bjorn to the desert, the uprise of Ivar and the erruption with his brother Ubbe

to a story with Floki, and its about time to step up to his own independent story. Floki and the volcanic island of the Gods.

Floki and a pilgrim of faithful starts a new life with the grace of gods. A island devoted to Loki the trickster or Valhala on earth?

An interesting vision story with the tendency to provoke the faith. The part of Floki in the Vikings/ its from the first episode,him and Lagertha now/ was step aside for the characters to arise, so, a happy note to be again in the steering wheel until the end of the season/ ''Vikings'' reminds me ''Walking Dead'', no main protagonists and no safe zone for everyone/and then we have Lagertha.

Without Astrid in her side, queen of Kattegat, once more a big battle ahead but this time with Ivar, who will rule Kattegat? Who will avenge the death of their mother from the hands of Lagertha? What a freaking good show ''Vikings'' still is?
