In 1896, New York city not only gives to neo-constructs a new name with the construction of the bridge, but the neo tendency for the wealthy men to fuck the boy crossed prostitudes exposed, when the body of a young boy, brutally slain in the construct of the new bridge. Dressed with dress, killed with gruesome ways, and dr. Laszlo Kreizer, a criminal psychologist, remembers the death of twins, a past crime with the tendency of the boy twin to wear the dress of his sister. Connected crimes or a new definition to anomalies behaviours towards the urge of man to a younger flesh ? What can do dr.Kreizer to discover the mystery behind those crimes and what evilness undiscovered behind those dark roads, filled with cross-dressing and boy prostitudes?

''the alienist'' is a strong, gruesome thriller with gut wreching scenes and a story that deserve to watch it and fully commited. I like the characters a lot. From Laszlo to Sara, a well written limited series(?) from ''tnt'', a gothic atmosphere and finally a story around New York City, and not the foggy London.

A serious theme about the young boyhood prostitudes and the cross/dressing desire for the upstart society and desires of the wealthy gentlemen. 

A gothic psychological thriller with Dakota Fanning. Is there a reason not to watch ''the alienist?''
