It's been a hell of a ride but all the good things must end, even after eight years. ''The vampire diaries'' ends tonight, with a double episode, and so much anxiety for the return of Elena Gilbert and her evil doppelganger Catherine , now the ruler bitch of Hell.
After four years in a coffin-two years for us, remember the time jump!- Elena will be back and finally a happy ending for Demon-Elena? or a tearful heartbreaking reunion if we believe the rumours that Damon dies when Elena wakes up?
All things are possible, the ''VD'' is /was a show that never say no to a good killing, remember how many times , from Jeremy to Caroline, their necks broken with a twist and the humiliation of the concept of death is just something very common to the residents of Mystic Falls. Drama too, look what happens to Bonnie. Enzo dies by the hand of the reaper Stefan
and the payback of all this? Stefan became human, double hit of tragedy if you think this married couple
after sixty,seventy years, Caroline will be hot and Stefan?? A poor old man still guilty enough for all the killings. The relationship between the Salvatore brothers was always complicated and bloody, so, if you foreseen the future, is the ''happy ending'' something affordable for Stefan and Damon or like a cursed shadows will continue the miserable lifes of the vampire men? Even if Stefan is human now.
If you go back and see who changes the most, the winner is Mat Donovan. Sure, he is still untouched from the vampire gift, but where is the smiling naive boy from the first season?
Its been a hell of a ride and whatever is the outcome of the characters, the ''VD'' is among the winners. Eight years of action packed full of blood and death episodes, loveable characters-miss you already Caroline Forbes!- and the road was very long for those students of Mystic Falls.
