24 LEGACY: RESTART

Three years after the events of the ''24:live another day'' and the last mission of Jack Bauer, a new hero arising from the ashes of the 24 franchise. Meet Eric Carter, a war hero, and now in the middle of dangerous situations , and the clock starts again. Nostalgic for all the fans, especially when the clock pounds with nerve at the final seconds of the episode. Dejavu or something new? And what the heck with the revivals of 90s tv hits? ''Prison break'', ''Will and Grace'', ''Fuller house'', whats next i guess. At first , i was so excited for the return, and Corey Hawkins aka Carter has the poker face for the next agent against the terrorism. Its all the same. Seriously, its like am watching the first season of 24 in a parallel universe with a black Bauer i guess and without Chloe, Tony and the rest. Nice touch Miranda Otto

but its like am watching the last season of ''Homeland'' again. The same, old 24 without the risk for something new and powerful. Fear of the response or a revival with the same old plot-ctu vs evil muslims- works better on a audience who wants an usa agent more patriot than ever? Cliche or the replacement of Bauer is the same character as Bauer without a soul search for something better? Trailer.

I was expecting something new, something more adjustable to the current political situation, something to dare. The plot is the same. Ctu is the same, heck, even the voice of Carter is the same as Bauer. ''24'' is reek all around from the ''stench'' of Bauer, and i dont think the flat character of Carter will be memorable after the show ends. Spin off or a reminder of something good i guess. 7,5/10
