QUARRY: OTIS BLUE

Τhe arrival of Μac to the airport is a little bit different from the welcome to the soldiers from Vietnam, with flowers and open arms. Nor with the doors open for business and  the return to daily life in the society in Memphis in '72. At least not for  Mac Conway that the reception at the airport comes with rotten tomatoes and jeers, while finding work only easy it will be for the peculiar Mac, loving his collection of records, the pool of his house and his wife Joni.

Can you imagine Mac hitman for hire? Cold-blooded killer on selected targets from the mysterious '' Broker ''?

I again no, and here is the amazing work done by Logan Marshall-Green in the role of Quarry, new nickname as the objectives are numerous to be able to repay the debt to Broker. Low-key, on the verge of PTSD, with the pool as a kind of psychotherapy for Mac / Quarry, trying to regain the life he left behind a year ago.By the end of the first episode, the gradual replacement of Mac in Quarry is well justified. Wounded. Betrayed. With the cold handle of the gun in his hand. Trailer.

 Greg Gaitanes in directing,see and beloved '' Banshee '', and the despair of a war hero when he realizes that life simply has moved on without him. At all levels. Amazing revival 70 's dusted with a looser look, '' Quarry '' in winning at the level of interpretation and slow but steady flow plot, something that at least makes me watch with open eyes.Eight episodes of the first season. It sounds loud with turntable playing these 70's blues, as well as  Quarry starts his journey. 9/10

Once again, Damon Herriman from '' Justified '',  leaves me speechless in the role of Buddy and the performance of '' Without You '' italian version! Incredible cameo in '' Secret City '' in the role of transexual agent from internal affairs. Incredibly talented.

Δε γυρίσανε όλοι οι στρατιωτες από το Βιετνάμ με λουλούδια και ανοιχτες αγκαλιές. Ούτε με τις πόρτες ανοιχτές για δουλειά και επιστροφή στην κοινωνία του Memphis το '72.Τουλάχιστον όχι για τον Mac Conway που η υποδοχή στο αεροδρόμιο έρχεται με σαπισμενες ντομάτες και αποδοκιμασίες, ενώ η εύρεση για εργασία μόνο εύκολη δεν θα είναι για τον ιδιόρρυθμο Mac, που λατρεύει τη συλλογή των δίσκων του, την πισίνα του σπιτιού του και τη γυναίκα του Joni.

Μπορείτε να φανταστείτε τον Mac hitman for hire? Εν ψυχρώ δολοφόνος σε επιλεγμένους στόχους  από τον μυστηριώδη ''Broker''?

Εγώ πάλι όχι, και εδώ είναι η καταπληκτική δουλειά που κάνει ο Logan Marshall-Green στο ρόλο του Quarry, νέο ψευδώνυμο καθώς οι στόχοι είναι πολλοί για να μπορέσει να ξεπληρώσει το χρέος στον Broker. Χαμηλών τόνων, στα πρόθυρα μετατραυματικού στρες, με την πισίνα σαν είδος ψυχοθεραπείας για τον Mac/Quarry, προσπαθώντας να ξαναβρεί τη ζωή που άφησε πίσω του πριν ένα χρόνο. Μέχρι το τέλος του πρώτου επεισοδίου, η σταδιακή αντικατάσταση του Mac σε Quarry είναι απόλυτα δικαιολογημένη. Πληγωμένος. Προδομένος. Με την κρύα λαβή του όπλου στο χέρι.Sneak Peek.

  

O Greg Gaitanes στη σκηνοθεσία, δες και λατρεμένο ''Banshee'', και η απόγνωση ενός ήρωα πολέμου όταν  συνειδητοποιεί ότι η ζωή απλά έχει προχωρήσει χωρίς αυτόν. Σε όλα τα επίπεδα. Καταπληκτική αναβίωση 70's πασπαλισμένη με μια πιο χαλαρή ματιά, το ''Quarry'' σε κερδίζει σε επίπεδο ερμηνείας και αργής αλλά σταθερής ροής πλοκής, κάτι που τουλάχιστον εμένα με τραβηξε. Οκτώ επεισόδια ο πρώτος κύκλος. Ακούγεται δυνατά με το πικ απ να παίζει αυτά τα 70's blues, καθώς ο Quarry ξεκινά το ταξίδι του. 9/10

 Για αλλη μια φορά , ο Damon Herriman απο το ''Justified'' σε αφηνει αναυδο στο ρόλο του Buddy και στο performance του ''Without You'' italian version! Απίστευτο cameo και στο ''Secret City'' στο ρόλο της transexual agent from internal affairs. Απίστευτα ταλαντουχος.
